First seen Jan 14, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study tests a special cooling mouthpiece used during radiation therapy for larynx cancer. The goal is to see if cooling the mouth can prevent or reduce taste loss, a common side effect of radiation. About 15 adults with advanced larynx cancer will try the device and report changes in their taste. If successful, this simple approach could improve quality of life during cancer treatment.
