First seen May 14, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tested whether giving plasma (the liquid part of blood) from people who recovered from COVID-19 to hospitalized patients with moderate to severe COVID-19 could help them get better faster. The trial planned to enroll many participants but was stopped early after only 102 people joined. The main goal was to see if patients improved by day 28. The approach was experimental and not a cure.
