NCT ID NCT07358273

First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study is a small 'pilot' trial to see if a larger study comparing two standard treatments for mild degenerative cervical myelopathy (a type of spinal cord compression in the neck) is possible. Researchers will enroll 56 adults with mild symptoms and randomly assign them to either decompressive surgery or a structured non-surgical program including education, fall prevention, and exercises. The main goal is not to determine which treatment is better, but to test if people will join the study, stick with their assigned treatment, and complete follow-ups over 12 months.
