New brain test could spot consciousness in sleep

Summary

This study tests a new computer program that reads brain signals to tell if someone is conscious or not. Thirty healthy adults will have their brain activity recorded while awake and asleep. The goal is to see if a simpler, portable system can accurately detect consciousness. This research may help improve care for people with disorders of consciousness.
