Compassion coaching boosts breastfeeding confidence in new moms

Summary
This study tested whether special counseling focused on self-compassion could help new mothers feel more confident and mindful while breastfeeding. 54 first-time pregnant women took part, with half receiving six counseling sessions during late pregnancy and after birth, and the other half getting standard care. Results showed that the counseling group reported higher self-compassion, breastfeeding confidence, and mindful awareness during breastfeeding.
