Vaginal surgery vs. belly cuts: which is better for uterine cancer?
NCT ID NCT07583329
First seen May 21, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026
Summary
This study compares two types of minimally invasive surgery for early-stage endometrial cancer: standard laparoscopy (small cuts in the belly) and vNOTES (surgery through the vagina with no visible scars). Researchers will check how well each method finds sentinel lymph nodes (the first nodes cancer might spread to) and how patients recover. The goal is to see if vNOTES is a safe, effective option that might lead to less pain and faster healing.
