First seen May 29, 2026 · Last updated Jun 09, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study compared two minimally invasive surgeries for incisional hernia (a bulge at a previous surgical scar). 72 adults with a midline hernia were randomly assigned to get either the standard IPOM Plus or the newer eTEP repair. The main goal was to see if eTEP caused less pain the day after surgery. Researchers also checked pain at 7 and 30 days after the operation.
