First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated Jun 08, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tested whether a long-acting version of the water pill torsemide could reduce overactive bladder symptoms (like frequent or urgent urination) better than the standard version in people with chronic heart failure. Twenty-four adults aged 50 and older with heart failure and bladder issues took each form for four weeks. The goal was to see if the extended-release pill improved quality of life and reduced daily bathroom trips.
