Which scan spots prostate cancer better? new study compares two tracers
NCT ID NCT03604757
First seen May 20, 2026 ยท Last updated May 20, 2026
Summary
This study involved 22 men with prostate cancer who were scheduled for prostate removal surgery. Each participant received two different PET/CT scans using different tracers (68Ga-RM2 and 68Ga-PSMA-617) to see how well each tracer highlighted cancer cells. The goal was to compare the scans' ability to detect cancer, not to treat it. Results help doctors understand which imaging method might be more useful for planning surgery.
