New PET tracer shows promise in spotting myeloma bone lesions
NCT ID NCT03891914
First seen May 16, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026
Summary
This study compared two types of PET/CT scans (18F-choline and 18F-FDG) in 20 people newly diagnosed with multiple myeloma to see which one finds more bone lesions. Participants received both scans and an MRI within three weeks. The goal was to determine if the newer 18F-choline scan could be a better one-stop tool for diagnosis and monitoring.
