First seen Nov 21, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tested how well two updated COVID-19 vaccines (Novavax and Pfizer mRNA) protect adults from getting sick. About 1,188 people who had already received at least two mRNA vaccine doses took part. Participants were randomly assigned to get either the Novavax or Pfizer vaccine, or no updated vaccine, and were monitored for 20 weeks with weekly tests and surveys. The goal was to see which vaccine offers better protection against symptomatic COVID-19.
