New test aims to simplify diagnosis of dangerous liver condition

Summary
This study aims to find out if a newer, endoscopy-based method for measuring pressure in the liver's blood vessels (EUS-PPG) is as accurate as the current standard test (HVPG). Researchers will compare both methods in 40 patients with advanced liver disease who are already scheduled for the standard pressure test. A key part of the study is to see if the sedation used for the newer test affects the pressure readings.
