NCT ID NCT07278999
First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study compares three treatments for painful mouth sores caused by oral lichen planus, a long-term inflammatory condition. Sixty adults will receive either a light-based therapy (photobiomodulation or photodynamic therapy) or a standard steroid cream (clobetasol). The goal is to see which approach heals sores best, reduces pain, and prevents sores from coming back, while avoiding long-term steroid side effects.
