New study: could a machine make cancer shots hurt less?

NCT ID NCT07533526

First seen Apr 21, 2026 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study compares two ways of giving a large-volume injection under the skin for breast cancer treatment: one using a machine that delivers the medicine at a steady speed, and the other done by a nurse by hand. The goal is to see which method causes less pain. Forty women with HER2-positive breast cancer will each receive both methods in different treatment cycles, and their pain levels will be measured right after the injection.
