Heart study tests new balloon method against standard stent procedure

NCT ID NCT07019350

Summary

This study compares two procedures for treating complex blockages where heart arteries split. Researchers want to see if using a special drug-coated balloon on one branch, along with a stent in the main artery, works as well as the current approach of placing stents in both branches. The goal is to find the safest and most effective method to open blocked arteries and prevent future heart problems for patients with severe coronary artery disease.
