NCT ID NCT06820489
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study compares three different gum graft methods used right after a tooth implant to see which one best prevents bone loss. Fifty-four adults needing a front tooth implant will be randomly assigned to one of the three techniques. The main goal is to check if the graft can stop gum and bone shrinkage one year after surgery.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
connective tissue graft (gum graft)
What this could lead to
If successful, this could identify the best gum graft method to preserve bone and gum tissue after a tooth implant.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage trial with only 54 patients, so results may not apply to everyone. The procedures are surgical and carry risks like infection or graft failure.
