Kidney test showdown: which measure is more accurate?

NCT ID NCT06797609

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 35 times

Summary

This study looks at 50 people with nephrotic syndrome to see if a newer blood test (cystatin C) is better than the standard creatinine test at measuring kidney function. Researchers will compare both estimates to a direct measurement of kidney filtration. The goal is to find the most accurate way to track kidney health in these patients.
