Summary

This study compares two newer diabetes drugs, semaglutide and dapagliflozin, against the standard drug metformin in 300 adults with prediabetes and heart artery disease. The goal is to see which drug best slows or reverses plaque buildup in heart arteries over 24 months. Participants must have prediabetes and confirmed coronary artery disease. The results could help guide treatment to prevent heart attacks and strokes.
