Summary
This study tested four different short antibiotic treatments for uncomplicated urinary tract infections (UTIs) in 1,000 adult women. The goal was to see which treatment best relieved symptoms within 7 days and cleared bacteria within 14 days. Participants received either a 2-day, 3-day, or 5-day antibiotic course, or a single dose of fosfomycin. Results help doctors choose the most effective short-term UTI treatment.
