NCT ID NCT06077513
First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study compares a custom 3D-printed titanium mesh frame to a standard frame made during surgery for dental bone grafting. Thirty adults needing bone augmentation for dental implants will be randomly assigned to one of the two methods. The goal is to see if the 3D-printed frame reduces surgery time and improves bone healing and accuracy.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only โ not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- Titanium mesh frame (3D-printed or standard)
- What this could lead to
- If successful, this could make dental bone grafting faster and more precise, leading to better implant outcomes.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small, early-stage trial with only 30 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The 3D-printed frame may not improve healing or could have unexpected complications.
