Magic mushroom drug takes on stubborn depression in major trial

Summary
This study tests whether a single dose of COMP360, a psilocybin-based drug, can ease depression in people who haven't gotten better with other treatments. About 255 adults with moderate-to-severe depression will receive either the drug or a placebo. Researchers will track changes in mood and daily functioning over time.
