Neighbors coaching neighbors: grassroots fight against obesity
NCT ID NCT06172582
Summary
This study tested a new community-based approach to weight management. Researchers trained local residents to lead 'house chat' support groups in their own homes for neighbors in Petersburg, Virginia. The goal was to see if this grassroots coaching model was practical and acceptable for helping people improve diet, activity, and weight over 12 weeks, with a focus on African American adults at higher risk for obesity.
