First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study looks at whether trained community health workers can reduce the stress and workload of people caring for seriously ill older veterans living in rural areas. About 480 care partners will be randomly assigned to receive extra support connecting to community and VA resources, or to usual care. The goal is to ease caregiver burden and improve satisfaction for both the caregiver and the veteran.
