Kentucky community tests new ways to fight hunger and improve diets
NCT ID NCT06438003
Summary
This study aimed to understand if community-led programs could help people in Appalachian Kentucky eat more fruits and vegetables and have more reliable access to food. Researchers worked with a local advisory board to design and test nutrition programs, focusing on lower-income and multi-generational families. Over 280 adult residents participated in annual check-ins to measure changes in their diet quality and food security status.
