Summary

This study tested a communication tool designed to help adults who are about to have fecal ostomy surgery. Researchers wanted to see if patients and their clinicians found the tool acceptable and easy to use. The study included 25 patients and 4 clinicians, with at least half of the patients aged 65 or older. Participants filled out questionnaires at the start and four weeks after using the tool.
