Heart valve study aims to simplify future artery access

NCT ID NCT05779787

First seen Apr 18, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study looks at a new way to place a heart valve (Navitor) during a procedure called TAVR. Normally, doctors try to align the valve carefully, but this can make it harder to reach the heart arteries later if needed. The study will test if randomly placing the valve makes it easier to re-enter those arteries. About 100 people with severe aortic stenosis will take part.
