NCT ID NCT07441668

First seen Mar 05, 2026 · Last updated May 29, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study tests a simple, family-centered comfort plan for children aged 5-10 in the pediatric intensive care unit. The intervention includes listening to their mother's voice, adjusting room lights, and using a weighted blanket, all on top of regular care. Researchers will measure how these actions affect the child's comfort, anxiety, fear, and sleep, as well as parent satisfaction. The goal is to see if these gentle additions can make a hospital stay less stressful for both children and their families.
