Double scan strategy could sharpen prostate cancer staging
NCT ID NCT07455097
First seen Mar 07, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study reviews past medical records of 600 men with intermediate- or high-risk prostate cancer who had both PSMA-PET/CT and MRI scans before surgery. Researchers want to see if combining these scans more accurately detects the main tumor, its spread, and lymph node involvement compared to using MRI alone. The goal is to improve treatment decisions and potentially reduce unnecessary procedures.
