New combo tackles tough brain cancer spread in lung patients

This study tests a combination of higher-dose targeted therapy, an anti-angiogenesis drug, and chemotherapy injected into the spine for people with advanced lung cancer that has spread to the lining of the brain and is no longer responding to standard treatment. About 30 adults with specific gene mutations will receive this regimen to see if it shrinks the brain tumors and to track any side effects. The goal is to better control the disease, not to cure it.
