New hope for recurrent cervical cancer: drug cocktail targets HER2
NCT ID NCT07172217
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026
Summary
This phase 2 trial tests a combination of three drugs—disitamab vedotin, iparomlimab, and tuvonralimab—in 33 women with HER2-expressing recurrent cervical cancer that has progressed after first-line treatment. The goal is to see if the combo can shrink tumors or slow the disease. Researchers will also monitor side effects and overall survival.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
disitamab vedotin combined with iparomlimab and tuvonralimab
What this could lead to
If successful, this could offer a new second-line treatment option for women with HER2-expressing recurrent cervical cancer, potentially shrinking tumors or slowing disease progression.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-phase trial with only 33 participants, so results may not apply broadly. The combination therapy may cause side effects, and it is not yet proven to improve survival.
