New hope for advanced colon cancer patients in houston trial

Summary
This study is testing whether adding a drug called fruquintinib to standard chemotherapy works better as a first treatment for advanced colorectal cancer that cannot be removed by surgery. Fifty patients will receive the combination treatment in monthly cycles, with the goal of controlling the cancer for as long as possible. Researchers will measure how long it takes for the cancer to get worse and monitor side effects to see if this could become a new treatment option.
