New study helps High-Risk adults choose the right cancer screening
NCT ID NCT07503847
First seen Apr 08, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a shared decision-making tool helps people aged 40-49 who have a close family member with colorectal cancer choose between two screening tests: colonoscopy or a stool test (FIT). About 2,286 participants will be randomly assigned to either use the tool or receive standard care. The goal is to see if the tool increases colonoscopy completion rates and improves patient satisfaction with the decision.
