New tumor pattern test could guide Life-Saving surgery decisions
NCT ID NCT07474025
Summary
This study aims to see if the microscopic growth pattern of a tumor can help doctors better predict which patients will benefit from major abdominal surgery. It will enroll 30 patients with colorectal cancer that has spread to the abdominal lining. Researchers will analyze tumor tissue samples to see if certain growth patterns are linked to better survival after surgery, without changing the patients' standard care.
