New drug duo tested for Tough-to-Treat colon cancer

NCT ID NCT03712943

Summary

This study tested the safety and best dose of a combination of two drugs, regorafenib and nivolumab, for people with advanced colorectal cancer that had stopped responding to standard treatments. The main goal was to see how much of the drug combination patients could tolerate and to check for side effects. Researchers also wanted to see if this new approach could help control the cancer in this specific group of patients.
