Doctors question need for chemo after successful Pre-Surgery cancer treatment

NCT ID NCT03748485

Summary

This study aims to find out if patients with locally advanced colorectal cancer still need chemotherapy after they've already had successful pre-surgery treatment that reduced their cancer stage. Researchers will compare outcomes between patients who receive standard chemotherapy after surgery and those who are simply monitored without additional chemo. The goal is to see if avoiding chemotherapy in these cases is just as effective for preventing cancer return while sparing patients from side effects.
