Head-to-Head: which colon cancer test is better?

NCT ID NCT00102011

Summary

This study aimed to find the best way to screen healthy people for colon cancer. It directly compared two common methods: a one-time colonoscopy versus taking an annual stool test (FOBT). Nearly 5,000 participants aged 50-69 were randomly assigned to one of these screening approaches and followed for up to four years to see which method was more effective and practical.
