First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 32 times

Summary

This study looked at ways to help more people in rural Southern Illinois get a follow-up colonoscopy after a positive stool test for colon cancer. Over 185,000 people were involved, and the goal was to see if new steps could increase the number of colonoscopies done within 60 days. The findings could help reduce cancer deaths in areas with fewer doctors.
