Stool test strategy could cut colon cancer risk nearly in half for most vulnerable
NCT ID NCT07378930
Summary
This study is testing if a more personalized screening plan can better prevent colon cancer in people at very high risk. It compares the standard approach (a colonoscopy every 3 years) to a new plan using a simple annual stool test to catch problems earlier. The goal is to see if this early warning system can reduce the chance of dangerous new growths from 20% down to about 13%.
