Natural scaffold tested for safer hernia repair in risky cases
NCT ID NCT07360691
Summary
This study is testing a highly purified, natural collagen mesh as an alternative to permanent synthetic mesh for repairing hernias in high-risk patients. It aims to see if this natural scaffold is safe and helps with healing in situations where infection risk is high or synthetic mesh is undesirable. The study will follow 25 patients for 8 weeks to check for infections, wound healing, pain, and early repair success.
