Chill caps fight chemo hair loss in myeloma patients
NCT ID NCT05961215
Summary
This study tested whether cooling caps could prevent hair loss in people with multiple myeloma undergoing stem cell transplant. Researchers enrolled 31 patients to see if wearing special cold caps during chemotherapy could keep most hair intact. They also asked patients whether the benefit of keeping hair outweighed the discomfort of wearing the cold caps.
