Common Anti-Inflammatory drug could be key to stroke recovery
NCT ID NCT06587737
Summary
This study is testing if a low daily dose of an existing anti-inflammatory drug, colchicine, can help people who have just had a bleeding stroke. It aims to see if the pill reduces the risk of future heart attacks, strokes, and long-term disability. The trial will involve over 1,100 participants who start the medication within 72 hours of their stroke.
