Can a common gout pill ease pain from this rare joint disease?

Summary

This study tests whether colchicine, a drug used for gout, can lower inflammation and pain in people with CPPD disease. About 150 adults will take either colchicine or a placebo daily for 6 months. Researchers will measure blood markers and joint symptoms to see if the drug helps.
