Common pill may save heart bypass grafts from failing

NCT ID NCT06802926

Summary

This study is testing if a low-dose colchicine pill, taken daily for a year, can help prevent the new blood vessel grafts from failing after coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery. It will involve 100 adults who recently had successful bypass surgery. Researchers will use heart scans to check if the grafts are still open after one year and see if the medication reduces serious heart problems.
