Brain games before surgery may predict delirium risk in seniors
NCT ID NCT06245005
First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study looked at whether older adults (60+) scheduled for major surgery can play a short set of brain-training games on a tablet before their operation. The goal was to see if their first-time game scores could help predict who might experience confusion (delirium) after surgery. About 120 people took part, and the results will guide future research on quick mental check-ups before surgery.
