First seen Mar 10, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study looks at 10 adults over 50 with hearing loss in both ears and a weak balance system on one side. Researchers want to see if putting a cochlear implant in the ear with worse balance leads to less dizziness after surgery. Participants are randomly assigned to get the implant in the weaker or stronger balance ear, and dizziness is tracked before and after the procedure.
