First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study followed 50 children who received one or two cochlear implants to see how their brain's response to sound relates to their speech and language skills after 3 years. Researchers measured brain waves and speech recognition to better understand how well the implants are working. The goal is to improve follow-up care for children with hearing loss.
