Implant in the 'Bad' ear? study tests new way to prevent dizzy spins after hearing surgery
NCT ID NCT07452653
Summary
This study aims to find the best ear to operate on for people with hearing loss who also have a weak balance system in one inner ear. Researchers will test if putting the cochlear implant in the ear with worse balance function leads to less dizziness after surgery compared to operating on the 'good' ear. Ten participants will be randomly assigned to have surgery on one ear or the other to compare the results.
