First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jul 24, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study compares two treatments for chronic tailbone pain (coccydynia): osteopathic manual therapy (a hands-on approach) and a nerve block injection. Researchers will enroll 100 adults who have had tailbone pain for at least 3 months and have not gotten relief from other treatments. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of the two treatments, and their pain and ability to function will be measured at 3 weeks and 3 months. The goal is to find out which treatment works better to ease pain and improve daily life.
