First seen May 20, 2026 · Last updated Jun 01, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tests a new, non-invasive brain stimulation device for people with Parkinson's disease who have moderate to severe hand tremors. The device uses a closed-loop system that detects the person's hand tremor and delivers precisely timed electrical stimulation to the cerebellum to reduce shaking. Ten participants will be recruited to see if this approach can safely and effectively lessen tremor amplitude.
