Artificial pancreas may protect hearts in type 1 diabetes

Summary
This study tests whether an artificial pancreas system can improve both blood sugar control and heart health in people with type 1 diabetes. The system combines an insulin pump with a continuous glucose monitor to automatically manage blood sugar levels. Researchers will measure changes in blood sugar stability and markers of inflammation and blood vessel function in 40 adults aged 18-40.
